When Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was announced in 2013, Warner Bros. said the film would be accompanied by video games. Now we know what one of those is.
Fantastic Beasts: Cases From the Wizarding World is a free-to-play mobile game from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Made by Fable Fortune developer Mediatonic, the hidden object game sees players investigating “curious cases” as a new Ministry of Magic recruit.

As a member of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, Beast Division, the game has you seeking out clues for the creatures. You’ll go to famous Harry Potter locations like Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and the Leaky Cauldron on your adventures.
“Following the trail of evidence, players uncover hidden objects, analyze evidence, cast spells and brew potions, piecing together clues to identify and relocate the magical creature in question,” reads a line from the game’s description. “Players can share their wizarding world experience with friends and fellow recruits by logging into Facebook to see each other’s progress and lend a helping hand.”
Cases From the Wizarding World is available now for iOS and Android devices.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which stars Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander, comes to theaters on November 18. For more, check out GameSpot’s review and what other critics are saying.
There will be at least four Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequels, the next of which will be set in Paris and star Johnny Depp.
