Confirming rumors, Ubisoft today officially announced For Honor‘s season pass and revealed everything it comes with.
The $40 pass comes with six new heroes that will be available seven days before they are released for everyone else. It also includes “elite” outfits for the six DLC heroes, as well as a Day One War Pack. As rumored, this includes a “sunbeam” effect for hero emotes, three emblem outlines, three scavenger crates that can be used to unlock extra gear, and 30-day “Champion Status.” This gives the player extra XP for crafting, more loot at the end of matches, and the ability to provide XP boosts to friends. With the exception of the six heroes and their outfits, all the season pass content will be available when For Honor launches on February 14. The heroes will arrive two at a time at the start of every new “Faction War” season, of which there will be three.
The For Honor season pass is included with the game’s $100 Gold Edition.
People who don’t pick up the season pass can get the new heroes by spending For Honor’s in-game currency, Steel, which is awarded for completing matches and other in-game events. Ubisoft did not say if the heroes can also be purchased for real money.
Additionally, Ubisoft announced today that it will release more For Honor maps, modes, and gear as free DLC after launch. People who own the season pass will receive early access to “some elements of this post-launch content.”
You don’t have to wait until February 14 to play For Honor, as an open beta will be held on PS4, Xbox One, and PC February 9-12.
