Ghost Recon: Wildlands Closed Beta Preload Available Now, File Size Revealed

Right on schedule, the closed beta for Ghost Recon: Wildlands is now available to preload on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

GameSpot confirmed that the PS4 file size is 21.544 GB, so the Xbox One and PC versions may also end up around there.

The Wildlands beta takes players to the region of Itacua, in a near-future Bolivia, where a drug cartel is in control. All the content in the beta can be played solo or with up to three other friends in co-op. It officially kicks off February 3 and runs through February 6.

You can sign up for a chance to get into the beta here on the Wildlands website. Also, Nvidia is giving away codes through its social channels, while people who download GeForce Experience 3.0 and opt-in to receive rewards, have a chance at winning one. You can read more about the promotion here.

Wildlands contains the largest open world that Ubisoft has ever made–you can see the game’s massive map here. The game launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 7, 2017.

In other news, Ubisoft has announced a live-action short film set in the game’s universe. Called War Within the Cartel, the movie was produced by Roberto Orci, who wrote the screenplays for Star Trek and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The movie stars rapper and actor TI.
