Here's the First Trailer for Netflix's Jason Momoa-Starring Drama "Frontier"

Streaming giant Netflix today published a new trailer for its next original series, Frontier. The show stars Game of Thrones and Aquaman actor Jason Momoa, who plays a part-Irish, part-Native American outlaw named Declan Harp. He’s caught up in a plot involving people in the fur trade. There is plenty of violence on display in the trailer–and Harp appears to have a bounty on his head.

“He’s an animal,” one person says about him. “Killing him is not enough. You must make an example of him. You must make him suffer. His savagery is precisely what makes him dangerous.”

Frontier, which was created by San Andreas director Brad Peyton, is set in 18th century Canada. It traces the “chaotic and violent struggle to control wealth and power” in the fur trade.

“Told from multiple perspectives, the series takes place in a world where business negotiations might be resolved with close-quarter hatchet fights, and where delicate relations between Native tribes and Europeans can spark bloody conflicts,” reads a line from its description.

All six episodes of Frontier‘s first season premiere on January 20. It’s already been renewed for a second season, according to Entertainment Weekly.
